In September we will tour the beautiful and historic island of Sicily in the Mediterranean Sea!

  • 10:15 AM visit to Tre Erre ceramic shop.
  • Lunch to on your own in Palermo.
  • 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM Norman & Arabic guided walking tour of Palermo
  • 8:00 PM bus transfer from hotel to the restaurant.
  • 8:30 PM dinner at Le Stanze
  • Overnight: Hotel Mercure Palermo Centro, Palermo.

Thursday, October 27: Palermo

  • Breakfast at Hotel Mercure Palermo Centro.
  • 9:30 AM Free morning in the City of Palermo.
  • 12:15 PM visit and tasting lunch at Az. Agricola Ceuso (wine producer).
  • 4:00 PM Guided tour of Santa Rosalia.
  • 5:30 PM visit Pasticceria Alba, Palermo.
  • Dinner on your own in Palermo.
  • Overnight: Hotel Mercure Palermo Centro, Palermo.

Friday, October 28: Palermo/Caltagirone/Ragusa

  • Breakfast at Hotel Mercure Palermo Centro.
  • 8:00 AM luggage collection and check out.
  • 8:15 AM bus transfer from Palermo to Caltagirone (4 hours).
  • 12:15 AM free time in Calatagirone and snack on your own.
  • 4:45 PM check in at hotel Villa Carlotta.
  • 6:00 PM visit and tasting at Antica Dolceria Bonajuto (chocolate producer)
  • 8:00 PM Chocolate dinner at Torre d'Oriente, Ragusa.

Saturday, October 29: Ragusa

  • Breakfast at Hotel Villa Carlotta.
  • 9:00 AM Guided tour of Siracusa
  • Lunch on your own in Siracusa
  • 3:00 PM bus transfer to Ragusa
  • 8:00 PM dinner at Locandina Restaurant.
  • Overnight: Hotel Villa Carlotta in Ragusa.

Sunday, October 30: Ragusa

  • Breakfast at Hotel Villa Carlotta.
  • 9:00 AM visit and tasting at Azienda Agricola “Cilone” (cheese producer ).
  • 10:30 AM visit to the local market.
  • Light lunch at the hotel.
  • 2:00 PM Cooking Class. A professional chef will work with your group and you will be preparing a traditional Sicilian meal. You will start in the morning by going to the local market and shopping for ingredients. In the afternoon the chef will assist you in the preparation of the dishes.
  • 8:00 PM Dinner at La Fenice Restaurant at Hotel Villa Carlotta.
  • Overnight: Hotel Villa Carlotta in Ragusa.

Monday, October 31: Ragusa/Sciacca/Mazara del Vallo

  • Breakfast at Hotel Villa Carlotta.
  • 9:10 AM luggage collection and check out.
  • 9:30 AM bus transfer from Ragusa to Mazara del Vallo. (4 ¼ hours)
  • 11:45 AM brief stop overlooking the Temple Vallee Greek Ruins.
  • 1:30 PM lunch at Porto San Paolo Restaurant, Sciaccia
  • 3:00 PM departure from Sciacca to Hotel Visir Resort, Mazara del Vallo.
  • 5:00 PM check in at Hotel Visir Resort, Mazara del Vallo.

Tuesday, November 1: Mazara del Vallo

  • 12:30 PM snack in the olive groves.
  • 2:00 PM olive pressing process.
  • 4:00 PM bus transfer to Hotel Visir Resort.
  • 5:00 PM Free time.
  • 7:30 PM dinner at Olio Verde Company (extra virgin olive oil producer).
  • Overnight: Hotel Visir Resort, Mazara del Vallo.

Wednesday, November 2: Marsala

  • Breakfast at the Hotel Visir Resort.
  • 8:30 AM visit to the fish market in Mazara del Vallo
  • 11:00 AM visit and tasting at Bazar del Miele (honey producer) in Trapani.
  • bus transfer to Erice.
  • Lunch on your own in Erice.
  • 3:30 PM bus transfer from Erice
  • 6:30 PM dinner at restaurant.
  • Overnight: Hotel Visir Resort, Mazara del Vallo.

Thursday, November 3: Marsala

  • Breakfast at the Hotel Visir Resort.
  • 8:45AM 08:45 AM bus transfer to Segesta (Greek temple and amphitheater).

  • 11:30 AM bus transfer to the salt flats in Marsala.
